Care and use guidance

General safety advice

Please take care when handling furniture as careless handling may cause damage or injury. Do not sit, climb or stand on the table. Ensure table is placed on level, firm ground. Please take extra care to avoid children coming into contact with any sharp corners (the use of corner protectors is recommended for households with infants and young children).

Appearance of natural wood

Wood is a natural material and you should therefore expect differences in appearance between pieces. Grain pattern, figuring and colour will vary. These are considered natural character variations rather than flaws.

Maintenance & Care

Clean any spills immediately with a clean, slightly damp, soft cloth.  A mild soap may also be used if required. Avoid using spray polishes and any chemical cleaners as these may damage the finish. Try to prevent sharp objects and chemicals coming into contact with your furniture. Do not drag the furniture when moving; always lift it. Take particular care when moving furniture composed of loose parts (e.g. glass tops). This product is not suitable for outdoor use.

Heat & sunlight

Protect furniture from direct heat and sunlight. Avoid placing near heat sources such as radiators (we recommend a minimum distance of 1m) and never place hot items directly on the wood surface.

Wood naturally changes colour over time when exposed to sunlight. As a general guide lighter woods darken and darker woods lighten. If furniture must be positioned in direct sunlight it is recommended not to place objects on the surface for the first eight weeks after purchase.

Glass safety advice – please read carefully

Do not sit or stand upon the glass surface. Do not use glass as a chopping surface. Do not strike the glass with hard or pointed items. Children should be taught to respect glass and treat it with care. Avoid placing very hot or very cold items on the glass surface.  When moving glass avoid placing directly onto hard surfaces.

No liability is accepted for improperly used furniture.
